Butterflies

BY JOURNEY DIXON

Explainable feeling
Forever in sorrow I’m weeping,
You’ve only felt pain inside
All your butterflies having died.

Screaming to the heavens
Please put down your weapons,
They’re only in your head
And under your bed.

Don’t let the red run
You don’t need the gun,
It’ll all be over soon
Just lock yourself in your room.

Cry the tears of misery
Hold the blade of chivalry,
Hide your fear
Or you’ll grow weary.

Explainable feeling
Forever in sorrow you’re weeping,
I’ve only felt pain inside
All my butterflies having died.
